English With Nikki: The Hungry Caterpillar

This monday we had a visitor..

The hungry caterpillar

Nikki read a story about the hungry caterpillar.

...who turned into a colorful butterfly.

After the story time everyone got to do their own caterpillars.

We found the same story from play school at dvd

and are trying to find a suitable moment to watch it.

Snow Snow Melt Away...

At the morning meeting we learned a new verse for the song Rain Rain Go Away.

Tuula had brought some snow with her in the classroom...

...and it melt away just like in the song:

Snow, snow melt away,

it is time for sunny day.

Snow, snow melt away,

warm spring is here to stay.

Rain, rain go away,

come again another day.

Rain, rain go away,

little ***** wants to play.

Tuula had also brought another surprise for us...

There were the firs flovers of spring!

White and blue flovers from the garden.

English With Nikki

Today we did...

Draw our faces.

Play the farmyard dominoes.

Play a game where we did do handicrafts and learn counting and numbers.

 

Other dice told us what number we should colour and the other 

what colour to choose for that number.

Age group 3 made umbrellas.

 

And age group 4-5 made a starry skies.

Age group 3 had also a story time.

They read the book Ten in The Bed.

Lunch List (Week 16)

Olemme ottamassa käyttöön uutta sanostoa muun muassa suomalaisiin ruokiin liittyen.

Opettelemme ruokasanastoa yhdessä lasten kanssa aamupiireillä sekä ruokailujen yhteydessä.

Tässä ruokailuteemamme ensimmäisen viikon ruokalista in english.

English With Nikki: Animals

At the english lesson first thing to do was to find our own names

which were hiding under the colour mats.

Is it under the yellow one? Or the green one?

Found it!

After founding our names we got to draw our pictures.

Age group 3

Age group 4-5

Then we got to know old MacDonald...

And his farm.

We read a book about Old MacDonald...

And his animals.

Which we brought to the farm one at a time.

Then we got to do handicrafts.

...And hear a story about Noisy Farm.
